“The reviews had me worried to visit at first, but the service is great and the rooms are clean. It is a great hotel to go too if you're on a budget, it is also next to a bus top. Ideally you should have your own car as the location is not the best, but the staff are friendly SO LONG as you just respect and dont lie to them. They care about guests and work with you if youre NICE TO THEM!! its simple. thank you for accommodating us!”

He always made sure stuff what full and was extremely apologetic when the pancake mix was empty this morning and ran to get us more. I have 5 children under 5 and they have been extremely accommodating and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again!!”

“I stayed in a 1 King Bed room for 2 nights. Like most Super 8 hotels, this room comes with a microwave, a minifridge, a TV, and a working desk. There is a sofa chair in the room but no coffee table, which makes the working desk the only convenient surface to put items on. Like other similar Super 8 hotels, this hotel offers a motel-style accommodation, meaning that anyone, even those not staying at the hotel, can access the corridors without a key card and turn your door knob to see if it's unlocked. The king-sized bed is comfortable to sleep on, and I liked that the shower offered a steady supply of hot water. I was able to test both the cooling and heating of the air conditioner, and it adjusted the room temperature very quickly, although it can be a bit noisy when heating up. While it's easy to hear your neighbors through the walls, guests generally keep things to themselves, so noise wasn't an issue. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast, which includes items like hot coffee, apple and orange juice, waffles, toast, cereal, etc. For the price of the hotel, I think the breakfast is great, as it would probably cost close to $20 at IHOP to get the same food. This hotel is close to many eateries, such as Bob Evans, Subway, McDonald's, IHOP, etc., and is right next door to a Family Dollar, so if you are traveling on a budget, there are plenty of cheap ways to fill your stomach. There is a bus stop near the hotel, but since buses don't run on Sundays in Charleston, you may want to rent a car (parking is free at this hotel). If you have a car, the highway is right next to the hotel, and there is a strip mall about a 5-minute drive away that has a Kroger and some restaurants. During my stay, I encountered two issues. First, as other reviewers have pointed out, the room smelled like cigarette smoke. While the hotel has made it explicit that smoking is not allowed, I think the culprit is the air conditioner, as the exhaust faces the corridor, and I’ve seen people smoke in the corridor (not sure if it's technically allowed since they aren't smoking inside the room). The cigarette smoke smell lingering in the room was an issue, as my pajamas started to smell like cigarettes after staying in the room for half a day. The second issue is the Wi-Fi. When I checked in, the front desk staff told me the Wi-Fi had not been working for a few days. Later, she gave me a phone number to call for technical support, and it took nearly 20 minutes for my laptop and phone to connect successfully to Wi-Fi. Overall, although this is not exactly in downtown Charleston, it is nearly half the price of staying in a downtown hotel, making this an acceptable option for those seeking value.”
